Default I went to try to get a photo of the ospreys but guess what I found?

there was a smaller darker one too, probably a female and loads of little ones and the disappeared into a wall but this one stayed out in the sun

I did see the ospreys but didn't manage a photo. It's amazing to see them swoop down and grab a fish with their claws. They are doing this four times a day at the moment.

It's about 20 years since I last saw adders in the wild though but the guy who runs the fishing up there in the hills says he's seen lots this year and that's after our worst winter since 1963

Well spotted, we used to have adders in our garden when i lived in cambridgeshire.
No such luck in reading
Would like to see some osprey pictures too if you have any?
We've got Red Kites over here... Lots of them, and daily!

Snakes hibernate too so it probably burrowed down pretty deep and the weather didn't affect it!

Alan, that sunset is brilliant!
Spent most of my youth and adult life looking for grass snakes and other native reptiles.
Since moving to sheffield we now have snakes entering our garden! Love it. Got a pic i will post of one not long ago.
