i cant kill anything, i collect and release else were, but to be honest i just leave mine, nature takes care of its self, if you have frogs and hedgehogs they eat them
i dont even use anything for greenfly {apart from ladybirds} i would ask please...if you must kill something , do it quick, pellets sand salt coffee beer ect are slow painful deaths, |

Are these flowers your trying to protect for slugs in your tort enclosure, pots or garden?
If in tubs squirt baby oil round the outside rim this stops them sliding up into the tubs. For garden I use crushed garlic - it does work I don't know why! |

Sand don't kill them i dont think zen, they just dont like the feel of it so they won't go on it. slthough it contains salt so may do

I have used all these methods
Baked crushed egg shells Sawdust Porridge oats (I have found this attracts mice tho) beer traps Nemaslug Bark mulch Copper tape around the bases of your pots Chickens

Any I find go straight in the compost bin! They can eat all the garden / kitchen waste to their hearts content with my blessings!
