hi 1st of october stop feeding my adults and have restricted them to their greenhouse and rear penned area for the next month as the weather gets worse they will start to dig in for the next 3 weeks minimum i will dig them up every day unless they are in the greenhouse and bath them every few days until november comes after the first cold snap if they are dug in i will transfer them to their hibernation boxes were they will stay until early march.i check the boxes weekly to ensure nobody has surfaced and after january i pace the floor waiting for them to wake up sad really after all these years i still worry all winter and cant wait to see them again.
december january must sort the juveniles they have a shorter sleep and may even attemp the fridge method for this years hatchlings if im brave enough. terry
