Default bare patch

Hi ,
I wondered if someone could advise me please: My 6-year old male hermans has a strange bare patch on the top of his nose. It's just dark without any scales, doesn't look sore or anything. He is fine in himself, eats allright and moves about outdoors. Should I worry about this?

Good to hear that others have noticed this too. I will try and take a picture, but it's so horrible outside today, can't bring myself to even go out. Poor wet and cold torties !!

Hi again, I have now managed to take a picture of Jessie's patch. I hope it is visible. Can anyone please tell me if I should worry about this?
Many thanks
Julia

Thanks for your speedy reply. I wodner what the patch is then. Jessie's younger sister doesn't have the same patch. Intersting point you are making about the species. Here is another picture taken earlier this year. What do you think? I always though they were hermans.

Thanks again for clarifying this. So, to summarize your advice: they are Hermans, and I do not need to worry about the bare patch. Is that right?
Many thanks
