I think Edward is a really lovely name, Wendy. I guess it just feels a bit strange for you because of your little Teddy.

Congratulations.
As Nanna it doesn't matter what you think of the name, you'll love him and spoil him rotten as all Nanna's are supposed to do.

Oh no. Grandma is all stuffy. I have a Grandma but always wished she was more cuddly like a Nanna. My Grampa however was my bestest friend

I don't want to be older and more mature. I want to be fun and loving. Grandma sounds like I should have a whit starched ruff round my neck and carry a stick to point with when I bark my orders.

Finally got to see him and have a lovely cuddle. He is a strong lad. He was pushing himself up on his feet and had no problems holding his head up. He turned his head to followed his aunty around the room when she stood up. Obviously he can only see shadows right now but the strength in his neck is amazing for a newborn. And such a fidget, he didn't keep still at all. When we first went in his mummy was holding him against her chest head on her shoulder and he jerked back and turned to see who was coming in. Sounds ridiculous but it's true.
