Planted a lot of seeds today...
Its nice and sunny here today so decided to go out and plant some seeds! Planted about 3 pots, then I kept finding more and more things to plant seeds in! My tort side got the better of me and now we have 6 trays and 5 pots all seeded up Also chucked some here and there in the outdoor enclosure! Looking forward to see what grows

Good luck Nat with your seeds. I found that nasturtiums are the quickest to grow but black bugs are attracted tot hem and gobble them up so if you've planted nasturtium watch out! I'm planting 3 times as much as last year, my Dad doesnt think we'll have enough room.

I went out this afternoon and bought lots of seeds.. Ended up with nemesia, forget me not, clarkia, viola, hollyhock, coleus and campanula so looks like I am going to be very busy! I have never grown any of these for my torts before so will be interesting to see what they like! Grew nastertiums and livingstone daisys last year and torts hated them!!
I have quite a few seeds left over from last year too, they seem to love snap dragons (antirrhinum) they eat them like sweets Lavatera is also a favourite.. Failed miserably with the tree mallow last year, I think it would have done better in topsoil/poor soil than compost (just incase anyone is growing it this yr!) Jo |

My seeds are already germinating and the pansies, petunia and nasturtiums are nudging up through the soil. I've got zinnia, calendula and nemesia to sow this coming weekend.
I'm not growing so much veg this year, to make more room for the flowers (and weeds!) so just potatoes, leeks, parsnips and the berries this year for us. The garden has shrunk quite considerably too as we're getting everything ready to have chickens and they'll have their own section of the garden. The flowers and weeds take priority for my babies though
