Me too, Jemma. Really hope he pulls through. I would certainly not be keen to euthanise, despite what another person has wrongly insinuated. You know your tortoise and you will make the right decision.

Well that was interesting...
Vet seemed very happy that he has put on so much weight, and said that its prob just because he was dehydrated. He says he would be more worried if he wasn't passing anything if the fluids were injected but as he is just drinking and it has only been 6 days, so far he is fine. He obviously is concerned that he is not passing it though, and says that is the next thing to look out for. He says continue bathing in reptaboost, and don't worry about feeding yet. Call him again next Thursday or before if i am worried. I am a bit worried that Pumpkin has become very puffed up again after his bath. :/ |

Wee Pumpkin WEEEEE
Brilliant idea about the kitchen roll Jem, who's idea was that? How much weight did he lose during hibernation Jem? My torts weights often jump really quickly in the first couple of days after they come out of hibernation, at least to what they were before they went down. Anyway, I'm rambling, keep doing what you're doing hun, you'll know what to do if and when the time is right, you have a good head on your shoulders |
