Hello, a few ideas for food can be found,
http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/s...ise_home_1.asp
I can also recommend zoomed grassland tortoise food when fresh food is difficult to find in the garden,
http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/z...kg-zm-133.html
Can I ask what the temperatures are on the table please because I notice no heater for night time, because its unlikely the room is warm enough for him during this very cold weather we have in the UK at the moment. His house looks good but be warned they grow fast and he will soon need a bigger one, ours did.

Hi,

I have a leo myself lovely torts and great character

Keep an eye on sneezing and eye's looking watery or sore (mine doesn't do well in hay or straw or anything with dusty bits) I have ended up using reptile carpet in his sleeping area.

How big is your table as these are big tortoises you are looking at roughly 17" once fully grown. I have mine in a 3ft by 6ft table but he has a ramp so can roam the kitchen as an when he feels like it.

I would also invest in a ceramic heater, these torts do not like a temp below 16c and I have found this is the best way to maintain the temp during the night (plus he is right by the radiator).

As for eating well I have had a lot of issues in this area as mine is extremely fussy. He loves grazing but wont eat picked grass He has pellets during the winter with a few greens (lambs lettuce, plantain, romanine lettuce) but is out in the garden during the summer. I found the tortise table site to be really handy: http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/s...atabase_14.asp

Go steady on the nutrobal depending on this ones age I would say a sprinkle every other day (I have done this since mine was 2).

I think that is the basics which I have learnt from here

Enjoy

Regards

Sara

Thanks again for the replies
The table is 4ft by 2ft I will let him roam the garden in the better weather,
So far only thing I've got him to eat is rocket lettuce but I've only had it two days so I still think he's pretty shy
I had my eyes on him in pet shop for a few weeks and every time I seen him he was always active and eating that's why I choose him.
I wil look into the ceramic heater for night hopefully it's better than the heat mat

They can be very shy but with some gentle handling (try to keep it to a minimum for the first month or so) they can become very loving, just takes time

We have 100w.

Kind Regards
