Question scuffed shell

I noticed a few weeks ago that lilly my male hermanns has scuff marks across the top of this shell!

I'm not entirely sure how he's been doing this as he fits in his hide easily although he did go through a stage of climbing and landing on his back. Could this be the cause, should i try removing his hide to make sure this isn't the cause, and will his shell heal? it's not sore and is clean and doesn't appear to be deep i'm just a bit worried what it is.

Any advice appreciated as always

I seriously can't figure out what he's doing, herman has the exact same setup and as you can see she's not the same:

How odd! as it is the highest of the 2 it would seem likely to be something she is not fitting underneath very well.

My red foot has started wedging herself under the flat bit on her house and she has slight scuff marks on her shell but they go away when I bath her
