advice on an over active tortoise
Well Petey is definitely not for hibernating. Over the past few weeks I have found him to be extremely active and perhaps demented. He is climbing a lotin his table and I reallyneed to buy a new one as he is nearly out the one he has when he climbs.
Any advice on a new table? I have my table on a stand so do you think it best to put on the floor for just now? I worry if he does get out he will do some damage falling from a height. I want him to be happy but worriedthe amount he has been stomping about recently Dont know if thay all makes sense but please help

Hi Laura
What are your temperatures like please? (Warm/cool end) How big is the table? (can you achieve a gradient?) Are you absolutely sure Petey is a "he"? (have you had him sex'd on here?) Some people have a "knock back bar" which is like a wooden lip that over hangs the top perimeter of the table so torty cant actually climb out. If this is not a feasible temporary measure could you push the table back into a corner? So then you would only need more height on two sides & you could possible attach some cheap ply wood for now? |
