Redfoot temp and humidity
Hiya,
Have been meaning to get round to lesson three on the tortoise trust course since january, 2nite I thought i'd try and tackle it... However i'm really stuck on one question I've looked on the tortoise trust website, books etc, and keep getting conflicting answers I have to answer what temperature and humidity would best suit a redfoot tortoise... I am trying to decide between two possible answers and was wondering if any redfoot keepers could help me out a bit Would 28c and 80% humidty be best or... 30c and 90% humidity? I didn't want to ask coz i didn't wana cheat lol...but this one has got me confussed!!! I'm swaying towards 28c and 80% humidty? Thanks in advance Any help much appreciated Jo x |

90% at 30c would be rather like a sauna so you definatly opted for the better of the choices but in captivity as in nature the temps and humidity do vary |

Also depends on the region of South America you're talking about as well. Reds are distributed all over SA - some that live deep in the forest (so called Cherry Heads) will be used to a much higher humidity compared to those that live on the savanna areas.
