Hi
My oldest Leopard sleeps a lot - he loves the heat and occasionally sleeps with his little head resting on the side of his table, a stone etc.. If he is eating and well hydrated thats always a good sign... he certainly seems to be a cheeky chappy. If in doubt, get him checked out by the vet - possibly taking a poo sample too? Just an idea. |

Is he gaining weight? Taking a poo sample to the vets to check for worms is a good idea.

all my leopards sleep a fair bit, normal behaviour i observe is .... bask sleep bask sleep bask eat sleep ect...... for an hour or 2 a day they may become very active and climb everything in their paths but that is about it unless they are out in the garen, then they run around for ages.

I don't have any Leopards either, but I thought the basking part should be about 90 degrees, am I right? And know their background temp should be warmer than a Hermann's, but then not as warm as the basking area!!
Gorgeous babies BTW!

hi i keep sevaral leopards of different ages please be aware that they can be prone to dehydration if this youngster is indoors as i feel sure it is at this time of year it will need regular baths sometimes if they are warm and comfortable they seem to get lethargic and forget to drink paticularly when housed indoors under very dry conditions.
