Cottage Cheese For Red-foots.
Here is a "classic one" for all times. About a week ago I was on a website about the care of Red-foot Tortoises. One of the items suggested to feed them was cottage cheese. Truly incredible. A lot of cottage cheese in the wilds of South America. Been "gone" for a while. Glad to be "back".

Well I certainly wouldn't recommend cottage cheese or any dairy product to feed to tortoises.
Saying this though cottage cheese is a source of protein low in calories; redfoots are very tolerant to a wide range of food items that would surely put the health of any true herbivorous tortoises into serious malfunction. Still I wouldn't suggest feeding it there are many far easier and safer protein feeds available for redfoots and any other omnivorous species on the market. Darren
