christmas disasters
what was your christmas disaster i remember ours quite clearly it was nearly 13 years ago ,i had just moved in with jamie things was hard at the start left a violent marrage with nothing (by choice)and had to start all over again,we had both got trivial jobs at the time and money was tight, well we had saved up as much as we could and working long hours we hadnt had time to go christmas shopping apart from the odd gift here and there,it was christmas eve and we hadnt done hardly any shopping so we both finished a 1oclock and had to rush round the stores buying what we could,To cut a long story short by the time we got home my mum was waiting with the kids,so we couldnt get the gifts out the car ,Sorted everything we had to fed them put them to bed gave them a hour to go to sleep went down stairs to the car park (we lived in a flat) to get the gifts in OMG someone had stolen the car, this was my worst christmas ever, but also one of my best as all my family did there up most to help so the kids had gifts to open christmas morning made be value the true meaning of family and christmas spirit. have you ever had a christmas disaster if so what was yours ?

Mine was when I had the flu about 8 years back. It came on me late Christmas eve and I could not move a muscle. My mum came over to make dinner for Pete and Stefan and Peter carried me down stairs so I could be with my family. I have never been so ill in my life. They were all playing twister and I couldn't even move the spinner. It was awful. I just wanted to sleep, but felt like I would leave every one down if I did. Pete came down with it then on Boxing day. I fel so bad poor Stefan must have watched all his dvds that week.

I didn't realise how powerful our microwave was and although I followed all the instructions, the pot it was cooking in melted and the pudding was ruined.
Never mind! I hate christmas pud anyway lol. Mother in law took great delight in telling everyone. She is just coming for tea this year! |

3 yrs ago my father & sister were sent to sainsbury's to 'do' the x-mas shopping. The came back with a high tech turkey - it had an electronic timer that was meant to go off when the bird was cooked. It went horribly wrong. We took it out of the oven & it smelt bad & had green bits & was completely inedible.
