Can't help raising a smile at the fashion victims though, especially on Ladies Day. IF you think they look bad on the newspaper photos, you should see them later when they fal out of the gates with plaited legs, arms linked to equally wobbly friends, trying to hold each other up, as they stagger obliviously into the road in front of your car as you try to get home from work (doesnt matter which way you go, they get everywhere, like flies). Their attempts at high fashion, although drawn to comic extremes, are the result of months of preparation and hours in front of a mirror, only to end up in a sorry heap on the pavement, legs akimbo, make up spread across their faces like multi-coloured pandas.
Priceless!!
Regardless of the amount of money spent on the outfit - alcohol is a great leveller (in both senses of the word).

Not fussed really, I won't be betting on it nor watching it due to nothing other than lack of interest and trailing round the shops probably

i was at work, I've never really been a horse racing fan, my dad is so I bet he watched it, i don't like that a lot may die. I like dog racing though and the good thing about dog racing is the dogs love it too

I always watch it and the cheltenham festival, yes its sad that some have bad accidents but whats even sadder to me is the horses that are neglected and cruely treated by the everyday owner, or like where we used to live had the best of everything but stuck in a stable 24/7 for fear they might hurt themselves, like its been said you can't force a horse to race and jump if it does'nt want to anymore than you can an eventer or showjumper those horses are as fit as possible and trained to the best they can be so I don't think its a cruel sport and I'm a horse lover and kept horses/ponies for many years and my daughter competed with them.
