Earliest i can expect hatching
My horsfield laid 3 eggs on 27 th June. They are in the incubator at approximately 31.5 - 32 at 70% humidity. All seem to be fertile and are developing nicely and in line with pics others have posted for similar stages, if you see what I mean.
I was wondering what would be the earliest I can expect them to hatch. I am going on holiday for a fortnight and will return 15th August which will be day 49. My eldest daughter is looking after them for me, but I am getting worried about not being here myself, even though I plan on leaving loads of very explicit instructions for all kinds of scenarios. Please help put my mind at rest! |

It sounds like I am going to arrive home with about 5 days to spare! Unless someone comes along and says 49 days then I am going to panic!

Of the 5 eggs that Osca laid, one hatched at day 74, one at day 77 and one has begun to pip today at day 94! Two were infertile. My temps are between 30 and 32 degrees. My book says incubation is between 60 and 90 days, if that's any help.

Day 94!!!!!! Wow that one is reluctant to face the world I have already noticed differences in my three eggs in development. Egg 3 got that little top bubble (don't know the name) 2 days before egg 3, and egg 2 still does not have it 4 days later although the little one is kicking and doing cartwheels with gay abandon so looks good!
