Default Infra Red Thermometer

I'm looking to buy an Infra Red Thermometer, but really haven't got a clue as to what's good and not so good.
Any advice would be welcome, thanks

I got mine from Amazon I think...have a look on their site, lots of different ones - cheap/expensive - they also have the reviews from people so should give you an idea if they are any good. Also others may have ideas.
I cant even remember what brand mine is but it very small, grey and light. Seems to do ok... xx

Missed this thread, here is my late reply. I bought this one from Mapling and never looked back. I had a chance to compare the readings with expensive professional thermometer and it gives accurate results. I use it several times a day, to measure shell temperatures, substrate temperatures, the water temperatures, the list goes on. The closer you keep it to the surface the more accurate readings you will get.
