another update.... a few hours from finding him, and 120 quid later shelly is back in his house keeping warm, hes ok, very lively, and over the next few days we gotta make sure he stays warm and gotta ring the vet on monday to see if they want him to have more antibiotics as he is covered until tuesday now.

a slight relief i must say, lol, so gonna keep an eye on him and hopefully he will be fine! yey!

thanx all again for your help!

Hi

What great news, there was a post on here I think a little while ago I think, about a tortoise that had dissapeared from its garden, the owners dog had spent ages barking at the pond until the owner decided to investigate, when he did he found his tort on the surface bleeding from ite mouth and nostrils.
It seems that the tort had fallen in and had been missing for a few weeks, the long and the short of it, the tort survived after medical intervention from a vet.

I am so please that your little tort survived

morning everyone, shelly is doing fine this morning thanx for asking, his eyes are bright, hes peeing a lot (not surprisingly, lol) but hes ok, going to ring the vet in the morning to see if he requires another lot of antibiotics, but hopefully hes gonna be ok, he seems fine in himself anyways, hasnt eaten much yet, but he isnt a big eater anyways, so theres some there when he wants it anyway.

thanks all for your help and advice!
