In my opinion I wouldnt worry about it lou as we cant be certain of locality the adults where originally collected , they are all still Horsfields just your babies are captive bred locality type unkown My females are if we go by Dans sub species two T.h.kazachstanica , one male T.h.horsfieldii and a pair of T.h.rustamovi Darren

Mine are from you as well Darren, one of them in particular is quite flat on top and very very yellow, which sounds like Kazachstanica characteristics from what I've read here.
Interesting topic!

Lou and Hazel yours are all bred from Ellie and Tammy with hamburger as the sire Ellie is Yellow highly domed (kazachstanica) Tammy is olive not so domed (rustamovi) and the hamburger is dark small and brown rather flattish so possible the type T.h.horsfieldii I cant remember now which dams where your babies where from but which ever they are are all of mixed sub types , but as said they are all still horsfields and again of regional type unknown Darren

I love the name Hamburger
Have you ever posted pics of your Horsfields, Darren? I'd love to see them (not so much because of this sub-type discussion, but because I'd love to see the parents of my little ones! )

They are on here some where , I have forgotten how to upload pics , been away to long I will sort it soon enough though as I get back into it,
Mine are all out side right now hidden away so taking fresh pics will take time. The Hamburger was from a confiscated assignment thats how I know his type they where imported directly from country of Orgin before they where siezed The females are all originally imports too but petshop bought so they arent 100% identifiable, but going by Dans pictures and discription I would say they are what he describes Darren

All the subspecies can physically breed with each other, it depends on whether you want to keep the subspecies breeding separately or not I guess
If you're not bothered then no harm in having Winston with your others
