ok thanks for all this info on this. so is there no why that i can pick up a A10 certificate for it? if i like to get it back and keep it.

Yes an A10 certificate is required. I think the seller has to have the A10 in their name when selling it on. The buyer does not need to have the A10 put into their own name until or unless they are selling it on or breeding from it. Microchipping is also required to be done by the seller if the tort is over 100mm. A certificate costs £25 but it's a criminal offence not to provide one when selling.. and they take it very seriously now

Alan I was just having a read through the defra info you posted & ddnt realise you needed A10's to sell dead specimens?? (not that id want to buy one!) but I did see one a dead stuffed tort on ebay a few months back - interesting.

I don't mean to put a spanner in the works and my knowledge is nothing compared to Dan's, but that little one looks incredibly similar to my alerian tgg youngsters!
