Help please think Saffron is winding down
Saffron is continually sleeping in her hide. If i don't get her up and bath her then I'm sure she would stay put all day. She will eat a small amount of food following her bath then go straight back to sleep in the hide.On saying this looking back on my records she did this last year
I feel guilty getting her up daily but didn't want to hibernate her until winter when weeds are pretty scarce. I managed to over winter her last year but this year shes even more adamant she wants to sleep. Lights are on 12hrs a day and temps 31c under basking area night time temp between 18 and 21. My other younger tort is very active still and eating everything. Should I keep getting her up or start thinking about letting her wind down naturally and hibernating her earlier than planned ? Her weight is now 113g she has gained 3g in the last month. Any help or advice much appreciated thanks |

Try upping the lights to 14 hours on. How many lights do you have on the enclosure?
