D3 basking bulb

Hi I'm new to the forum I have recently purchased a new Arcadia d3 basking bulb and every now and then it makes a tiggling buzzing noise which sounds like static electric can last for a few hours is this normal or could it be a fault with the bulb .

welcome to the forum ! yes they can buzz , I think its the element heating up. As long as doesn't flicker it should settle down also with use. CB

Do make sure it is screwed in properly too.
