Yes they are both chipped already i done that when they reached the size required to be chipped. I was aware of the a10 being in my name so i am sorting that out today!

When i have filled out one of these myself I pretty much copied over the details, updated them with my name and address etc.
Where is says 'Description of Specimens' I believe you need to include the microchip numbers - however, to be sure, Red Foot Marg is a good man to confirm this |

I'm sorry if this is a really inappropriate question, and possibly posted in an entirely inappropriate place. But.... what are the legal implications of having an a10 certificate transfered straight into a new keepers name?

Not sure what you mean Kezia, it just means that you are able to sell the tortoise on legally should you wish to before it reaches 10cm, when it would need to be microchipped before the papers are updated.
You do not need to do either if you are not intending on selling or breeding from our tortoise |

Please note :The a10 isn't a licence to own a tortoise. a10's are issued for the purpose of selling ,in other words you can only sell protected animals if you can prove they where captive bred , once you have proved this a10's are issued to offer for sale. If you intend to breed from your tortoise it isn't set in stone that they have to be chipped at 100mm ( this is only a leagel requirment if you intend to sell them so once they reach 100mm they can only be sold once there chipped and the a10 updated into your name ), they can be chipped late on. |
