Hi Eleanor
How wonderful to have babies of these fantastic tortoises. Wish I had room for more but don't think my husband would be too pleased to have any more Browns! Mary |

2006 - 2 2007 - 29 2008 - 15 Co own three breeding females. They have nested clutches of around 20 - 40 this year. (Second time all three have nested, with less eggs in the first year). Unfortunately they are quite good at sitting on their eggs and breaking them. Have hopefully managed to solve problems by modifying nesting substrate and nesting areas. |

instead of mostly mulching fallen leaves. mix of bark, leaves and twigs. 90% leaves last year made nest too compacted. |

Sexing Manouria emys
Just read your note that you can sell sexed pairs. How do you do that? All the stuff I have read says that you can't sex Manouria emys unless they dangle their bits or breed.

Hi All
Sincerely apologise for delay in reply.... had not spotted I there were new posts. We have young 2010 hatchlings available now at £100 each. (Less for pairs and groups) These cannot be sexed as too young, but are incubated to aim for males and females. This will be the last year hatchling are available from us as we are actively in the process of looking to sell the breeding group of 3 girls and 1 male to a new caring home. Please feel free to mail if you have questions. Warm regards Eleanor (Norfolk) |
