some outside help please
Hi ya again
Tommy (yay he has a name at last ) was getting really agitated in his inside encloser so Ive left him outside the past two nights he is really loving it he is so much calmer already but Im starting to worry about when the weather starts to turn colder what should I do? should I leave him outside and get a clodframe? or do I build him a bigger inside table and bring him inside? I only got him on sunday so I dont know should I be hibernating him this year or not?? |

Hi
I don't know how big tommy is?? If he is outdoors at night now, then you can certainly extend the summer days by providing a cold frame. I mount mine on bricks, so they can get under it! I am a believer of the great outdoors, and my torts are out most of the time! Best of luck Wendy |

What speices are we talking about please?
Most meds can stay outside 24/7 up until late September, depending on where you live. Frosts are the most critical things, as they can kill torts. So once temps get to that stage then they should come in at night, and back out during the daytime when temps allow.
