Default Shelly had her Operation

Hi all, dont know if you remember we had problems with shelly last year she had a lung infection and we had to keep her up last winter, first time ever, she has had a lump for quite a few years our vet said it was nothing to worry about, but our tortoise vet Mike Jessop who saw her last year said he thought it was an abscess but could not operate until she was fully recovered and the weather was nicer, well she had her op last tuesday and he was spot on it was an abscess and it had become active, here she is sporting her nice pink bandage, she has to go back on wednesday, we have put a bit of cling film on it just in case she pee's or poo's, what a great vet he is, fingers crossed all will be well.

I do remember Shelly, she is such a beautiful tortoise.
I am glad she is on the road to recovery and will soon be back to her old self again.
Hope the bandage does not trouble her too much.
I have heard of this vet and he has a good reputation so shelly was in good hands.
Let us know how she is doing when her abcess has healed.

Bless her, well she looks to be tucking in to her food and hasn't lost her appetite! I am sure she will make a speedy recovery. What a smart vet you have.
