Laura I am so sorry - you do need to do what is right for Fluffy - if the op will save his life then you must try and raise the funds.
My first instinct if he were mine would be go ahead and do what has to be done but what are his chances of coming through of the op? You need to weigh up the odds.

Dont say you cant except charity - if we are all happy to send you a cheque to help out - then let us....... I know many of us have helped out others in your situation.

If anyone wants to help then please let us pm you and you can give us your full name and address - or ask the vets if we can make a payment direct to them.

Laura,

I'm so sorry to hear about Fluffy. I wish there was something I could do to help you.

I think Jackie's idea is a great one. Do consider it. If a story like this could be published in a national newspaper, not only will Fluffy be sorted financially but millions of people would be informed about proper tortoise care.

Thinking of you, and little Fluff.

Laura, you could try a car boot sale, my daughter and I done one at the weekend, she sorted out her toys, books and some clothes, I also sort out some glasses and bits from the kitchen and we managed about £80.

Jackie - i would be more than happy for you to run a story!
Im sorry guys, i cant stop crying! You know what, if all my friends would just donate £1 to my paypal, i know that would help. Im trying to think what i can sell, but there isnt a lot really. Im not one for keeping things. I just throw everything away.
I sound like such a sap for crying but i keep looking at his enclosure and it upsets me.
The vet says if he has the op, he would pull through it nicely, but im just concerned about fees.
Wish i was rich!!!

Take care, thinking of you an Fluff.

A story sounds brilliant, and with your skills Jackie it will be great.

As I keep telling myself, its only money and what is the worse they can do to me if for any reason I can't pay straight away. Everything will get sorted Laura xxxx
