Good luck with the injections, the first time I had to do it 15yrs ago, I was so nervous I shook. If I had to do it now I wouldnt bat an eyelid, except a quick "sorry" to the tort.

Well, just an update. Puddle had to go be rushed back to the vets in Leeds tonight, as one of the wounds on top collapsed inwards slightly and I was frightened. She is spending the night in the vets and Stuart has reassured me that this is not serious. He said that on a scale of 1- 10 in dog bites, 1 being the mildest, this was probably a 2 at the most. She will be staying there where they will be repairing/reinforcing her shell with fibreglass and she will be home in 48 hours. I don't know what has caused the hole to cave but she hasn't exactly been resting, so maybe strain or she banged it or it was just weak, I don't know.
Anyway, she will be repaired and home shortly, she's still very lively, very hungry and generally happy, so fingers crossed I'l keep everyone updated and thank you all for your kind words. Keep your fingers crossed for her. x |

I'm sure Puddle will enjoy all the fussing she is going to get at the vets, and again when back home with you. Try and get some sleep tonight if you can, I know you will be worried, but puddle will want her 'mum' to have a good nights sleep. Sending you a big (hug). Take care

Puddle is home and been glued a little bit and plastered up She's a little dosile at the minute because of medication I think but she's eating
One of her eyes looks ever so slightly puffy, I guess that could be from stress.?? Shes on Fortum injections every 3 days and Baytril every day, so I'm guessing the Baytril will clear her eye up? The vet said these two antibiotics work well together. She's in her hospital box keping nice and warm I'l post pictures later |
