RNS is an umbrella term for respiratory illness, it can be caused by different things. A tort can carry the 'germ'(I use that term loosely) that causes it quite harmlessly without you ever knowing but when under stress the immune system is compromised and it can surface, making torty ill.

There are lots of different reasons for a tort to get stresssed, introduction to another tort/group and moving home are in my experience two key factors. It can be environmental reasons also, poor/ inadequte innappropriate husbandry etc.

As long as you have got your husbandry right, are keeping vigilant, and observing quarranteen (when required) then you casn reassure yourself that you are doing nothing wrong and it's just one of those things
