RNS help - cannot shift it
Hi guys
I have a hatchling with RNS, I have been to see a specialist vet and done a course of antibiotics but its just not shifting. So far she has had antibiotic nose drops once a day She is in isolation Keeping her warm with a ceramic heater at night The thing that baffles me is she is perfectly well otherwise, eating lots and putting on weight, very active Is there anything else I can try?

What antibiotic were you giving? Are you keeping her at a constant 30C?

If it's not shifting, you might have to go with a course of injecting antibiotics.

So Ciprofloxacin, which is the next generation up from Enrofloxacin (Baytril). Might want to change to Ceftazidime or a combination of Enrofloxacin and Ceftazidime.

As far as I know you will need a prescription for both of them.

Just a quick update - I was given a course of injecting antibiotics(given by myself-yikes!) and she is much much better!
