My enclosure is full of different gravel/stones and sand and soil mix, but she does have the run of the garden as well.
That tort table looks to be real quality job well done cant wait to see the photos when you finished it all. |

It looks like its going to be great, my enclosures are my garden devided in to two halves , so they do have some grass, with Mediterranean planted areas, some slabs, some pebbles and a rockery, I think some grass is fine, they like it, so long as they are not entirely on grass.

Here is the update of the table, Rosie and Jim have been out in it all winter only difference from these photos is that I have sheets of glass over the table to keep the heat in apart from a hole so the arcadia lamp can shine through. I put them out in it and they stayed in the dark part most of the time but past few weeks they have been very active, they get up early on a morning and sunbathe most of the day. I opened their little hatch for them today to see if they wanted to go outside for a wander as it has been very mild temps recently... Rosie sat infront of the entance for a couple of hours but wouldnt even step a tortoise toe outside. Think they were too comfy and warm inside. They are also eating great too, they are eating all weeds and pellets with bits of salad and they are munching a lot on the cuttle fish. I'll post some more photos of outside later in the year, I have some serious weeding to do.

They sound very content. I am sure Rosie looked outside on the mild day and said to herself, 'Sure, but it won't last!'.
When you say 'hatch', do you mean out of their winter box into the greenhouse?
