Default New home!!

Morning!

I am so excited. Today we get the keys to our new home.

This is our 1st home we're buying and just so excited. it's like a new chapter in our lives and cannot wait...

It was meant to be finished over 3 months ago so you can imagine how excited I am to finally move.

We only went inside it for the 1st time 2 weeks ago, it's a new build and we bought off the plans. Thank god I liked it!!!

When does the solicitor/agent tell us we can get the keys??? Anyone know? This is all so new to me.

Row xx

Congratulations that is great - normally the estate agents will ring you because they basically have to wait for funds to clear. Both times I have done it they have cleared early in the day but I know this isn't always the case. If I was you I would ring the estate agents once they open to check they will release the keys and will contact you as soon as they get the go ahead. Best of wishes in your new home.

Thanks Vicki! I'm just sat here waiting. Was going to have a lay in but my mind is racing.

It's been a long time coming

Row, massive congratulations. in my experience it wouldn't hurt giving them a ring.
They shouldn't mind at all and you could sensitively ask about timescales.
they will then start chasing otherwise they wait to hear also and by end of day its manic.....he who shouts loudest and all that.

Hope it all went well Row and you are nice warm settled with a mug of tea! I for one will be excited to see photos of tortoise and area. When I was ten my tortoise travelled from London to our house on my lap. You don't forget things like that.

Congrats for November Ross ! still in Wales ? or you exploring further ? cb

I'm so excited for you, Row. It's so lovely to own your own home and make your mark on it.
We contemplated moving not so long ago but the thought of packing up was quite overwhelming, so I don't envy you that. Until we win some money we're staying put and as we've been here for 20 years it would take something special to make us move. Your hard work will be worth it though. Wishing you all the very best in your lovely new home. x
