Default Roxys 2nd clutch

Yes Roxy has laid her 2nd clutch almost 3 weeks after the first, and I was shocked she actually laid 4 eggs this time

This time I have cleaned the eggs and numbered them, (and not with year haha)

Way to go, Roxy!!
The eggs look much cleaner and easier to candle. So, fingers crossed in about 14 days we'll see a ring of life or veins or something positive, Bev.
I bet Roxy appreciated her relaxing bath after that hard work.

They do look very clean now Emma, it only took me a few minutes to dig the eggs up this time as she had laid them in the exact same spot as the last ones, so the soil was moist and crumbly, I was very careful cleaning and drying them and kept them the same way up

Here we go again lol, at least the incubator was ready for them to go straight into this time, I did candle the previous 2 and still nothing so have taken them out.

I'm suprised she could fit 4 eggs inside to be honest, they must have grown so bloody quickly I'm amazed x

Yes, it's incredible that they have such large eggs inside them, especially so soon after laying the last clutch. It's such a shame the first clutch weren't fertile but perhaps they were her practice run. Now she knows what she's doing, I'm keeping everything crossed for you.
It's a bit tricky walking about with these crossed toes and typing with crossed fingers but I hope there's some good news before too long.
Back to being patient again then, Bev. I don't envy you that! x

You can see they have a pinkish tinge to the eggs:0)
They will go chalky white if fertile.

Yes Emma, back to hope and excitement, and poor Roxy was a bit exhausted, she had nice warm bath and something to eat x

Sandy, I noticed the pink tinge when I dug them up and the last clutch, the last clutch did go whiter but nothing else lol, so will be able to see better now I've cleaned these ones x

Thanks Becci x

Good luck this time Bev! It is amazing how quickly they can lay a second clutch. I had no idea it could happen that soon.
