Roxy is digging again
Roxy is digging holes round the garden with her back legs again, I had a feeling she would as she has been back to stomping around, climbing, up early etc and the most obvious walking with her backside high as she did last time before she laid....no eggs yet x

Thanks Emma, I hope she holds out till the weekend this time so I can be here with her all the way, but I think she is desperate to lay, she even tried to dig a hole in soil that was very shallow so no good and she gave up, I did pour boiling hot water on the various holes where she had dug so that the soil is moister and hopefully ill catch her doing it again, but most of all i hope the sun stays out for her to warm up enough to lay......fingers crossed this time xxx

I hope you manage to catch her laying, I missed the laying and only caught her covering them up. Fingers crossed they will be fertile!

Thanks Eddie, last time I caught her trying to lay her first egg in the hole she dug, I always come home for lunch and have about 30 mins to check on animals, I spotted her and didn't want to go back to work, but had to and by the time I came home 3 hours later shed had finished laying 3 eggs and had filled it back in, she was a few feet away looking exhausted, so hopefully she will start laying at lunchtime again so I can see where the eggs are going to be, otherwise I won't know x

Oh well done Roxy!
Thank goodness she went back to her original nesting site and now you know where to dig. Just digging is nail-bitingly terrifying. I was so scared I'd crack the egg when I dug up Tabitha's laid egg. I hope she's laid at least one fertile egg for you Bev. Everything is still crossed here for you. Looking forward to hearing how she's done.
