Age of rehomer?
Hi all
Just wondered if anyone would be able to give me a rough idea of the age of my new rehomer. I have no history on him at all. Many thanks |

Lol he looks pretty old to me though doesn't really help you too much I guess. I see someone drilled a hole into the back of his shell

Total total guess, there is a bit of wear to his shell but he looks in pretty good shape, I'd say 40s plus

They (the tortoise 'hunters') also drill a hole when catching wild caught tortoises and tie them in groups together to be collected later and sent into the pet trade.. so likely that is a wild caught tort

Thanks for your comments everyone, I knew he had to be getting on a bit! And thankyou Dan for confirming the THB I've decided to call him Mr. Mckenzie, as the lady that passed him on didn't even know his name!
