I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that they hatch safely. I've got a soft spot for hercs.

One thing I have noticed when candling you can see very well from the top of the egg, then the day before they hatch they move to the top of the egg preventing the light shining through. Anyway good luck with your egg Here are some pictures of the new ones, enjoy Here is one from January, August and today. It's amazing the difference in size from the one that was hatched n August 20g already. Thanks Andy |

Aww they look so diddy Andy. Out of interest what do your Herc eggs usually weigh on hatching? I have cooked mine at 31 for 3 & 1/2 weeks then 29, so don't know what day I might expect hatching.

My first one in January was only 7g and stayed about 12g for a few months when I put her in with a couple of Juveniles she started to sprout now 46g. Hatchling from August 14th was 12g and now is 20g. Last night and today they were 12g, 13g and 14g. All my Herc eggs are about 15-17g except one which for some reason is 25g and fertile! I have another ten due to hatch over the next few weeks as my female that laid the large egg laid a total of four times in 60 days total 10 eggs. Andy |
