I know the above as fact by the way
Really ??? i think you've got that wrong !!!

No I am not a friend had this happen to her needed to change the name on the cert sent it back, got the new one and then lost it asked DEFRA for a new one they said we do not keep copies and throw away the old ones. Despite being able to give all info DEFRA will not give a new cert. So what is the point?
This person now unable to sell her tort.

AND IT'S THE TRUTH!!! Why would I have any reason to lie?

There's something not right there , all you need is either the chip number or a10 number , which are all kept on there data base in Bristol , if you lost one you would have to apply for a new one quoting the a10 number which would come back with a new number simples !!

Ok in this case the person had a youngster no microchip no A10 number therefore no copy. Chris Newman concurs on RFUK.

I lost my male hermanns A10,All i done was give them the micro chip number and £25.A new A10 was sent out in little over a week.No fuss at all,So i think they must keep detailes on a data base.

Thank's jeff i know they do , like i said earlier if you have either the a10 number or chip number there should be no problem , where the problem's start is if you don't have either because then it has to be classed as a fresh application .
