Fao Sarah and komodo pellets

So basically even if the komodo has less protein in it than the other pellets it doesnt matter anyway as we dont know what damage excess protein can do? When some tortoise keepers go on about too much protein makes them grow too much and pyramid or grow deformed is that a load of rubbish then? What about that photo of the really deformed turtle/tortoise who was fed on dog food? (on tortoise trust) Wouldnt that be too much protein?
