Is this Edible for Horsefield Tortoises?! - Page 2

Here is a picture of the seedlings if it helps any? Most of them are tiny like these and the female prefers this sized one. I looked at the Willow Herb Seedlings and it doesn't seem to match??

I would say at the end of the finger and to the left, Willow Herb.

What about the one to the right?? It's the same plant as the big one I posted and little one to the right of the tip of my finger?

There are a lot of different willow herb the one you have is greater willow herb I think

Hmm.. Could be that one, still seems to look different to me, leaves seem thicker on my plants

Hang on a minute you folks, what's this with the "willowherb"? There are 14 species of Willowherb and in the UK and they vary a great deal. We have not correctly identified this plant yet!

The origin of Willowherbs is unclear but they have been in the UK for at least 200 years.

I'm not sure that little plant is any kind of Willowherb. I'm suspect its an annual which willowherbs in general are not.

Rosebay Willowherb is the plant most folk think is a nuisance and its a native. However it hybridised with a Scandinavian Willowherb.

I think willow herb is really pretty. I would have thought alot of plants have originated abroad does not mean they have no place in this country but it's a matter of opinion. If it's not a willow herb I would be interested to know as well because there is loads about and would be great if it was edible.
