As usual... All those 'abused' tortoises that were being taken care of by people who 'did not have a clue'... are somehow popping up on a fairly regular basis as of late.

Look through only the SW posts from January to now on the number of old tortoises passed down or adopted.

I've looked through SW since january and most of the tortoise's are young animals !, so what is your point ?

The last oldish, garden/yard adult inherited tort had mainly lawn grass to eat, as the new owner mention's. I'm thinking what it had consumed come across as extra's during the tort's year's.

Most yard tortoises that I know of in the UK survived this way for the most part.
