But I will weigh him and then check and see if its ok... And then I will check against...jackson ratio??
I reckon it will be overweight or something.... I cant deprive him of his food. I hate to find out...I think he is at least 2lbs. It is like with the pellets thing... I know that 2 tablespoons (thank you Lolly for your input)...will not go far. He will eat it and look for more. I cant see how it will work...being that 2 tablespoons is a meal. I dunno maybe it is just me..... |

You will be surprised with the pellets. Once soaked they swell alot. Marly loves them and I would say he eats about one tea spoon full, if that. They go along way. I don't restrict Marly's food either. I would rather know he has a full little belly and has eaten what he wants. When he has had enough he walks away. I am happy with that

Dave, will have a look...i gather to stick to the same sort of "judgement amount" as Lolly said, 2 table spoons ....
I know its me...but it just doesnt seem very much..2 table spoons is like, minature mouse sized portions... A couple of mouthfulls and ...bang gone. Do people really just litterally put this tiny amount down and thats it?? Or put this down, and leave some weed/lettuce mix too?? Sorry to ask dummy questions but trying to visualise. xx Al....you are such a rotter..but that did make me have a wee chuckle!xxx |

I cant comment on any pellet product as I dont ude them. The Pre Alpin Testudo isn't a formulated pellet is just dried plants and grasses, so you feed the same amount as you would a weed feed, it has no additives so you suppliment as you would other plants. |

I know Horace would eat much more pellets. I don't feed Horace anything on Sunday, a day of rest and all that I have read here that Horsefield torts are more bumpy but even in the wild they can be too. I think Horace is a bit bumpy but looks great to me. When I had Horace his shell was not smooth like the torts I have seen. Last edited by Horace2; 29-11-2010 at 03:07 PM. |
