An interesting hypothosis. When I first read of Pre Alpin in Vetters Hermanns book the recommendation, from Sabine Vinke, was to initially mix with vegetable based dog chow to enhance the palatability.

Yea... some don't want to be bothered with searching the archives. I don't mind rehashing it for the new keepers and the older sometimes come up with some new stuff.

what dugs eat veg?

It's not Veg... it's grain based formula.

I don't think grain is listed as a vegetable.

when that's all mixed in to the pre alpin then it's not far short of a 'complete' pellet

I'm not sure what grain comes under, it can be part of a vegetarian diet but as you say isn't actually a veg. A cereal I suppose

Who knows... Pre-Alpin might be a complete diet. Only time will tell.

I'm good with the diets I use... the rest only followed.
