Default why are tortoises so addictive

i started off with one which was a christmas pressent from my other half i have always wanted one (Herman sadly died after 2 weeks of fighting due to RNS) i was so upset i fought for all money back and expences from seller (and won) this was not about money it was for herman i also reported to rspca and animal welfare agency within their district

I then got 2 more Victor (girl) and Herbie (boy) they were to young to sex but now names are wrong way round

i have now got another 2 they are to young to sex but hoping they are girls (Shelly + wanda )

what has everyone else got

i still need to take pictures of shelly and wanda

I too started with 1, she soon became 3 and then 4 and so on until I ended up with 13 and now 5 eggs in the incubator. I don't see my collection stopping growing anytime soon

Because they are so amazing to watch and so self-sufficient. When our 20 or so emerge in am on a sunny day, everyone sits and watches and other half says its like the walk of the dinasaurs. Just love em....

Yup me too! I started off with one and now I have five! I have a feeling these numbers may grow in the near future!
They all have their own little characters and it's nice watching them interact with each other.
