I've heard of a female as small as 4 3/8 inches SCL laying eggs (she is Italian and there are pictures of her doing it on the forum). Ones from France or Spain usually have to be around 5 1/2 to 5 3/4 inches SCL before they will lay. Males 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 inches SCL. Weight would depend on size.

Thanks Dan, so weight wise would they be generally a bit larger than egyptians?

Thanks
