yes the browser is just what you use to go on websites, AOL, IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera etc.
I use internet Explorer all the time so don't really know about AOL browser but if there is a 'tools' button anywhere you could try clicking that and see if it gives 'internet options' and then 'delete browsing history' and/or 'delete cookies, temporary internet files' etc. if it does, then try deleting them. Instead of searching google try typing this into the address bar exactly as it is here with no www's or anything in front of it. microsoft.com/IE8 then press the return key or click the go arrow. another to try is www.opera.com/download the internet explorer being supplied by freeserve might prevent it from working if you o longer use freeserve as your ISP, are they not extinct? taken over by Orange eventually down the line if I remember Last edited by Alan1; 24-02-2011 at 07:22 PM. |

If you have AOL and freeserve... both of them Best thing would be to reinstall windows. That what I would do. If you have the disk.

Get Firefox, it is brilliant and light browser. then uninstall all freeserve/ AOL programs. But still I think reinstalling windows XP will be your best bet, fresh start.
