Wow. What a lovely place for them to live. Fantastic idea adding a stream and your tort seems to love it.

Thank you for the nice compliments...My son did it for me. He put a rubber liner starting from the top where the water fall is all the way down to the little pond. Then he put stuck the waterfall rocks with black cement that he used to make the long stream. When it was dry he just put some river rocks from the dollar store, in the stream. Everything costs about 15 dollars. Berfore the cement dried, he put a hole in the pond section, and put a little pump in there with a long tube going around the back of the enclosure to the water fall. He covered the hole with a piece of slate. The pump was only 30dollars. So the whole thing cost me about 50 dollars.

can I ask if the pump is also a filter or do you have to keep changing the water? in an ideal world I'd run a stream across the tort garden but I think it would be to costly

It is a little pump with a filter attached to it. I just take it out and clean the pad. I haven't done it yet and it seems to be still clean. The whole thing only costs about 50 to make with the filter too.
