New Breed of Tortoise at Colchester Zoo!.... Pic Heavy
I took my family to Colchester Zoo today.... we found a new breed of tortoise.... as well as some well known breeds.. Take a look!
and these are the breeds we know and love and some turtles all lined up on a log |

Some nice looking tortoises, lucky Leopards with such a nice enclosure when you consider how many are stuck in tiny vivs. I dont like tiles in tortoise enclosures, a few Zoos use them. I know it will be easy to clean, but I imagine it is awful under their feet and they must slip around.

Thanks. It was a great day out.... so worth the drive... The large ones on the tiles that was just their basking area the rest of the large enclousre was grass and baths.....
So much nicer than paradise wildlife park whos enclosures are far too small for most of their animals.... Would go again to Colchester zoo. |
