Meet Ninian :-)
This is Ninian (he was Toto, but..well yeah). A woman bought him for her 4yo granddaughter who has lost interest after five weeks. She came over to meet Darwin (my blue collie) when we were talking to fundraisers at the pet shop and started chatting.. Anyway, we went to see him and couldn't leave him.
He's had five weeks of this lovely woman following the pet shop assistant's advice to the letter.. Wrong bulbs in (now melted!) wrong holders, fresh fruit and veg with his dandelions, no water and a centimetre of woodchippings in his pine table... (he's still in the table in the picture - though with soil instead of wood, but has been moved into a more suitable house now - was waiting for it to dry out!) He has long nails, flaking skin, a very waggy tail (is this a Horsfield thing or is he just happy to have a clean tail again??) and a worn down beak (despite having had nothing to chew on, even his food was cut up.. So not sure if it has always looked like that?) Anyway, I'll take more piccies when he's settled in a bit more. Any Horsfield hints appreciated!! I'm off to read up.. Dissertation (2:1 thankyouverymuch and thank you all for your help!) was a looooong time ago!

Ninian is in good hands now, i would say flakey skin on head is a normal shedding in reptiles, good luck.
