Please help what to feed?

I am still managing to collect a carrier bag of weeds a week, plaintain, dandelion, bits of sow thistle, yarrow, chick weed etc and mix them in with mixed leaf florrette or florrette duo such as lambs lettuce & rocket or baby leaf lettuces, i give as a treat butternut squash once a week, grated carrot a couple of times a week x

And i am also sad, getting excited when i see abundance of weeds in a area, im always looking on the ground even when im driving (very sad) my dog absolutely hates it on weed picking days as she has to stand there while im bending over picking from the ground while out for a walk with her x

How often do you all feed butternut squash,in winter all our parrots get it warmed up and mashed about 3times aweek,hopefully my torts can have it more regularly.

Thanks for that. My Hermanns love them all, espcialy cauli. They won't eat them raw, but love them cooked. I only feed fruit occassionally, perhaps once every other week or so.

There is no way I would attempt it sorry but I wouldn't . Mine have a very healthy slow growth so was just wondering what was good for them

I was told those type of foods are very unhealthy for them so am to scared to try x

have a look at the links at the top of this section, there are lots of lists of foods that can be fed, I think there's one to the tortoise trust's winter food guide or at least there used to be. I used to supplement with a good complete pellet such as Mazuri (often sold on here by members) with pre alpine cobs added to increase the fiber content, always fed soaked and well mixed together.
