Next time use a vet! You can also save yourself a lot of money in vet bills if illnesses etc are caught early enough, however like its been said nothing can be done about the dead tort but I'd keep a close eye on the others if they have been in with it. Its just guess work from even the most expert of keepers without actually seeing the tort as to what was/is wrong and to be honest forums can't and shouldn't take the place of a vet. Did you ask on any forum back in September when you first thought something amiss? I'm sorry but thats a long time to leave an animal which you had already recognised something wasn't right. Please don't leave the others as long if something goes wrong with one of them, if money is the issue then try putting a little away for emergency vet trips.
